It all started in 2023, somewhere between too many cups of tea and the eternal French love for beautiful things.
We wanted candles that didn’t just look good but actually felt like a little vacation in a jar.
So, we mixed, poured, and sniffed (a lot), until we found scents that could make even Monday mornings feel poetic.
And just like that, La Bougie Française was born a tiny idea with a big mission:
to make your home smell like happiness, one season at a time.

Passionate about fragrances and cosy atmospheres, Maëlys is the creative mind behind the scents and designs of our candles. With a blend of imagination and attention to detail, she ensures that every candle tells a story and brings a genuine moment of wellbeing.
Lola Lavernhe / Co-Founder
Always half in the workshop and half in organisation mode, Lola is the guardian of quality and artisanal craftsmanship. From selecting materials to shaping each collection, she makes sure every candle is made with care… and a generous touch of love.
